Q: Do I need to use sunscreen even when I go out for a little while?

A: Yes.  There are 2 types of UV rays: UVA(long) and UVB(short).
UVA rays are said to penetrate deeply and damage cells in dermis.  UVB rays are stronger and cause sunburn on the surface of skin. Even if you are outside for a short time or under a tree, skin is exposed to the UVA.  It is good to wear a hat and arm covers along with sunscreen. It never hurts to be careful!

Q: Should I choose a sunscreen with a high SPF?

A: No. If you regularly use a sunscreen with a high SPF, it can burden your skin.  First, choose
a gentle sunscreen which matches your needs and purposes.  Then, use it properly to effectively
protect your skin.  Apply evenly to the entire face, back of hands and neck.  Apply 2 times over
the nose, forehead and cheeks where skin is easily sunburned.  Do not also forget to reapply
after sweating!

Q: What should I do if my skin is sunburned?

A: You need to cool down your skin first.  Performing a toner mask can moisturize and cool
it down at the same time.

Q: I use a sunscreen and brightening serum, but my blemishes are darker. Why?

A: Your skin might be dehydrated.  Dry skin with weaker barrier function is more prone to damage and pigmentation.  Because of slow turnover, melanins cannot be removed, resulting in darker blemishes.

For whitening care to be effective, your skin needs to be well-hydrated. Intensive care is
needed from inside out.  Select a moisturizing toner and brightening serum
with vitamin c derivative.  Make sure they penetrate deeply into skin.  Supplements
containing picnogenol and vitamin c are also good for your internal care.

Q: Pores look larger and darker. I tend to get more pimples. What should I do?

A: The problem might be caused by excess sebum secretion.  Clogged pores look darker and larger.  What you should do first is to keep the pores clean with a weekly lather mask.  Also, include vitamin c special care items to control oil secretion.  Please also remember pores look more visible when skin is sagged.  Thus, take supplements with collagen and hyaluronic acid to improve skin elasticity.
