After improving its original 5 colors, HABA has successfully created 12 more delicate, vivid and deep colors, using only inorganic coloring agents instead of tar colors.  Additional squalane, pystosteryl macadamiate and vegetable oil carefully selected from sunflower and jojoba seeds help to keep lips looking luscious, bright and well moisturized.

Inorganic Coloring Agents

Well known as being the safest, inorganic coloring agents are superimposed onto the skin instead of adhering to it, making them very mild.  Because the particles are larger than organic coloring agents (normally 1~15 micron), they are prevented from being absorbed into the skin, alleviating the risk of pigment discoloration and skin irritation.

Tar colors

A wide variety of vividly colored makeup products contain tar colors, isolated and chemically synthesized from petroleum.  Tar colors dissolve in water and oil and may adhere to the skin causing irritation.

Squalane

Avoiding mineral oils that may cause skin irritation, we carefully select flavorless oils of the highest purity to produce our makeup products.  By adding an abundance of our high purity, hard-to-blot squalane we help to create more lustrous and moisturized skin.  All of our makeup products are gentle to the skin and actually help to moisturize as they are applied.

Safflower

HABA used to market lipsticks containing a natural coloring substance called safflower, but when it was found to cause allergic reactions in a few of our customers, we cancelled the productions selling it and changed the formula.@ Even though ingredients such as safflower and cochineal are believed to be natural to the skin, they were excluded from our products upon their renewal.
